Our wishes have been granted. No, they're not reuniting, but this is just as sweet. Enjoy!

[17 Apr 2005|09:16pm]

I should've updated this a long time ago when I heard this, but I forgot all about it and I'd feel weird mentioning this news in an Audiovent community, even though AV members are in Agent Sparks. Agent Sparks got signed to Immortal Records. The producers? Tony Berg and Mike Einziger! I got all of this from Campus Circle Magazine, I think it's called. Click to read. I think I should make a community for them. I should've used agentsparks for my community, but I just had to match my GJ name, audiovent. Speaking of GJ, if any of you guys have a GJ, check out the GJ community I made for Agent Sparks. I update it quite often. I hope you guys didn't mind the community pimpage.

As for Jason, I'm sure some of you know that he's working on his acting/directing career. Soon, he's going to put up jasonboydfilms.com and it'll include (and I'm copying exactly what he said) his short films, some tunes that he's written, and a few other things. if you go to it right now, it's not working and it still has the "Coming Soon!" thing on it, but he said it'd be up in a couple of weeks, so go ahead and bookmark it and check on it every once in a while. That's what I'm doing.

Hey, guys, I haven't posted here since I was walkthemiles. The offer still stands for the two songs I was looking for a while back, so if anyone wants to help out, please do because man, I need my AV fix again.

Speaking of AV fixes, I was looking on Google for AV pictures, and I stumbled upon a site of a certain Eric Stenman. Eric Stenman produced, mixed, and engineered four of AV's demos right before they broke up. I noticed the site had an audio section, and I hoped to find an AV song there, and sure enough, I did. The song's called "Call My Name," and I am in love with it. It makes me even more sad that they broke up, because I would've loved to hear the rest of the new songs and see if they're as good as "Call My Name." Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do. I'm so happy I found this, I'm trying not to cry right now. I feel like such a loser! :-[

Nothing really to do with Audiovent, but it does have to do with Vent. Does anyone have the PD version of "Back and Forth" and HMS' version of "Remedy?" I've been trying to find them for quite a while, but I haven't found them. If any of you have those two, or just one of them, could you possibly upload it somewhere (like yousendit.com or something) and link me? I'd absolutely appreciate it.

Agent Sparks [20 Oct 2004|07:54am]

[ mood | awake ]

Good morning kids. How's everyone in the community?

I was just informed that Ben and Paul are starting up a band called Agent Sparks. Not much is listed on them yet, but they do have a website (www.agentsparks.com) and a myspace (myspace.com/agentsparks) if you were interested.

So, we'll certainly see what happens!

That is all. Take it easy.

I emailed Paul earlier today, and asked him if he, Ben, and Ryland are going to start a new band. His reply? THEY ARE. They're in a new band called Agent Sparks. They even have a website they're building right now, which is www.agentsparks.com. Dude, this news totally made my night. I'll probably edit this soon.

To anyone going to the Laissez-faire show tonight. Please give a review because I'd love to hear how the band sans Jason Boyd did! :-[

And also, I talked to Jamin on the phone a few days ago when my friend went to the Under the Influence of Giants show, and it was possibly one of the coolest moments of my life. His voice is so adorable, it makes me want to marry him.

Hey guys. I totally forgot to tell you guys about this. My cousin is in a show at the roxy called laissez faire: a political girly show. Well, it turned out that Ben, Ryland, and Paul were the backup band for the show. It was really cool and ben did a really awesome rendition of the song from willy wonka, haha. On the opening night MIke, Jose, and DJ Kilmore (whos dating one of the dancers) from incubus were there. Sadly, incubus went on tour and they weren't at the show last night...but the boys from audiovent will definitely be the backup band on their last show. I believe it's september 17. You guys should check it out. It was good to see what the boys have been up to.

Hi, lovelies! <3 [25 Aug 2004|04:11pm]

Since astarupinthesky told her story of Jason from when she saw him Wednesday, I'll share an interesting story that my friend told me when she saw Incubus in San Diego. Ben Einziger was there, and according to my friend, he has an afro now. Rofl, I want to see that so bad. But anyways, he bumped into her and made her fall to the ground, and then he apologized and stumbled away. Then the guards were yelling at him and asking for his pass, and he was all, "I'M WITH THE BAND." and then started busting up laughing. Later on that night, Ben gets onstage (unexpectedly, by the way) and starts singing "I Believe the Children Are Our Future." You know, that song with the lyrics, "I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them sing the light." Everyone was booing. Then Brandon comes out and says, "See what happens when you let your friends go on tour with you? They get drunk and go onstage without your knowledge." Basically, whoever got to go see Incubus in San Diego got to see Ben drunk and I am envious.

Also, this isn't quite Audiovent news...at all, but it has something to do with J-Man. Home Town Hero is not Home Town Hero anymore. A few days ago, they officially changed their name to Under the Influence of Giants. And no, I am not joking, either.

And happy belated birthdays to Ben (the 21st of this month) and J-Man (the 3rd of this month)! And Ryland's is in a few days, I think? The 29th, right?

Hey guys! Since this is technically audiovent related, I thought I should share that I saw Jason Boyd on Wednesday. He came on stage during the incubus show at the forum and sang backups on wish you were here. He was wearing a cowboy hat but I definitely recognized him even before brandon said "that's my little brother". Anyways, it was cute and it was good to see him.

The end.

Hey kids. Community moderator here.

Well, most of you know by now that the band has called it quits. Such a shame. I have updated the bio to reflect the change, let me know if you think I should put something else in it.

On the bright side, I am against pulling the plug on the community and will continue to run it in spite of the fact that there probably won't be too many newcomers. Plus, it'll be handy to have in case they get back together. ;) Please continue to post in the community whenever you feel like it, any topic is fine.

[ mood | A little upset again... ]

Jason posted at the Audiovent board about ten minutes ago, pretty much stating what happened with the band to cause the breakup. Just read it:

well, im sure youve all read ben's post by now. yes, its true. after 12 long, strange years of beating our heads against a wall, it became apparent that together, we were doing just that. while it saddened me to leave the group, and all of the hard work we'd put into it, i knew it needed to happen. our friendships were suffering, no one seemed happy anymore, and we got to the point where we couldnt agree on anything. i personally think that your life doesnt really start until you kick it in the nuts. show the world that youre not afraid to start over. if youre not happy, why not change your situation? what are you afraid of, the unknown? failure? hitting rock bottom? getting your hands dirty? it's ok if you are. most people are afraid of those things. i was for most of my life. but then one day, i decided to turn off the self-kicking machine, and start my life for real. everyday is the best day of my life now. it just gets better and better. not to mention, im in love. head over fucking heels, yell it off the top of a trendy mountain during tourist season, love. and, i gotta tell you, its fucking great. i highly recommend it to all of you, and by all means, dont let anyone outside of your relationship run the show. it ends up smelling like a cannibal's shit in the middle of summer. anyways, like i was saying, things are great now. im finally getting the chance to write my own songs, which i plan to record and perform as soon as i can. ive been really getting to know my family, which is something i regret not doing years ago. ive been taking time for myself, my lady, and my little dogs. im also venturing into the film world as well, taking acting, directing, and screenwriting more seriously. i may even try my hand at college again, seeing as i didnt take that very seriously the first time around. basically, what ive realized is that its never too late to change your mind (except when youre driving. a friend of mine crashed into a tree that way). if something just doesnt feel right in your gut, you have to trust that feeling. your gut will never lie to you. no matter what, youll always end up exactly where youre supposed to, and youll always be ok. why not try everything that you want to? hell, you only get one shot at life (that you remember at least). as i bring this saga to a close, i would like to thank you all for being so unbelievably supportive of this band over the past years. you guys really made us feel like what we wanted to say mattered. so, thanks for that. im sure, artistically, youll still be hearing from all of us. and dont worry, were all still friends. even though ill destroy them all in halo. jk, ryland might beat me.

HATE to be the bearer of bad news but... [19 Jun 2004|04:50pm]

After 12 years of playing music together, we've now decided to part ways. We've kept all our friendships in tact, which I think is the most important thing, and are now interested in pursueing other creative endeavors. Thank you all so much for all the support you've showed us over the years. Just so you know, the music will not stop here. I'm in the process of putting together a new project that I think will be amazing. So you'll definately be hearing from me sometime in the near future. Again, we can't tell you how much we've appreciated you over the years. Sincerely,
Benjamin Einziger

ugh i want to cry...i was so looking forward to hearing their new stuff and seeing them live again. but i guess it's best to end while they're all still on good terms with each other :-\ i don't even know what to say. things seemed to be going well with them playing shows again and stuff. i mean it was only like a week ago that jason sent out a mass e-mail saying "audiovent is not dead." rawrrrrr. now i'm going to be depressed the rest of the day.

Ben posted yet another thing at the AV board. It's about what they'll be playing at tonight's show. He also added in something very interesting! Read:

Here is another one of Ben's updates about tonight's show, along with a very...um....deep? thing he added in there:

It's marvelous! you hear me? Marvelous? The notion of being is only nothing of the swort. A sword you say? By god that's not true!!!!It was the pinnicle of my consumer's digest, lost in the great abyss. My soul belongs to eternity, and my path has yet to come, WHY? DO YOU ASK? Questions hmmmmmmm, perhaps my fellows in the dormitory can answer. Please no more pencils with no erasers, they're much too hard to work with.
Anyway, we'll be playing mostly new songs, along with some old stuff from DSKIP. We got quite a show planned for you, so we hope you can make it.
From Claudiovent Van Dam

I shared this with a couple of friends, and they are convinced he was high when he made the post. Haha, who knows. But anyone who's going to tonight's show is verrrry lucky.

Nigel has announced that they are going to play another show in L.A. They're playing at The WhatClub? this Friday (Located at 5225 San Fernando Rd. West Second Floor Los Angeles, CA 90039 and the number is 818-546-1493), and the cost is $10 at the door. I do not know the time, though, since Jason didn't say and I failed to find an official site for the club. If you are going to go to this concert, make bootlegs of it and let everyone hear the songs! Or just post pictures and talk about the show, which would be pretty cool, too.

Dear everyone that is going to the future Nigel shows,

Please bootleg the show. Ben posted at the AV board again and said that we were more than welcome to bootleg the shows. He also said something about 'It's just marinara sauce!' but I got hella confused.

You people do not know how much this made my day.

Posted at the Audiovent board by the lovely BENJAMIN FUCKIN' EINZIGER:

Hey everyone this is your long lost pal Benjamin David Einziger. I've been hibernating in a dark cave somewhere classified in the South Pacific region. Luckily I woke up, hence my writing this letter to you. Anyway, I'm sorry it's been so long since I've posted on here. To answer your questions about the name change to"Nigel", it's simply a temporary name that we'll be going under while we play our next few shows. I doubt we'll be using that name permanately. (My [as in wealthandfame] reaction: THANK GOODNESS.) Although I'm sure a lot of you don't really understand why we're changing our name, I think you will when you here what we've done to our music. All I can say is that this time around, we've allowed ourselves to be completely naked and vulnerable in our music. A lot of pain, sadness, and happines went into writing our new record. I've learned so much this past year, more than I have in the past 12 years of being in a band. So, with that said, I can't wait share the beautiful music we've created, with you. Thanks so much for always being supportive and patient with us. I hope to see some of you at our upcoming "Nigel" gigs.
watch out for dodging Humans,
Benjamin David Einziger from
"Jean- Claudiovent Van Damme"

Lmao, Claudiovent. I am marrying him. Well, except not because I am 10 years younger than him. Sigh. :-[

P.S. Dear Ella, the background image isn't working for me. All I see is the Angelfire logo. :\

[ mood | Good. ]

Audiov--NIGEL (fgjkfjkjkdfjshk >:|) has added another tour date. It's going to be on Sunday, May 16th at the Malibu Inn around 10:00 (for some reason, the Malibu Inn says 8:00). It's $7.00 to get in.

I want this to be a little longer for some reason, so I will just say how much I dislike the new name. Nigel is my friend's pet dove's name. When I hear the name Nigel, I think of the dove and how much it craps all over her room. Nigel=no. Any other name=YES, PLEASE. I guess if they end up choosing that name, then I'll deal with it and hopefully grow to love it. They just better hope the other band had that name copyrighted.

Before I forget, I wanted to do a little pimpage. I don't know if Ben or Ella mind (if you do, sorry. :-[), but I've been wanting to pimp this place for a while. It's an audiovent community at GJ, and it is sort of dead because no one likes posting there at all. If you have a GJ account, join it and say hello. I want more people in my community, damnit. And also, I promised the guy at the AV board I'd do this, so join the AV messageboard that he made very recently. He wants more people over there, and so far, five people are there total. It's a nice place, so go check it out.

And I think that is it for my random posting for the day. I'm out. Payce, homies. Haha.

edit. I just now noticed the Nigel thing. What pisses me off about it is the fact that THERE IS ALREADY A BAND NAMED NIGEL, yet they are still considering changing their name from Audiovent to Nigel. What the shit.
